Han b\u00f6rjade formalisera standardprinciper f\u00f6r bodybuilding p\u00e5 1970-talet, vilket totalt f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade v\u00e4rlden av fysisk tr\u00e4ning. P\u00e5 den tiden var det mesta av styrke-, fitness- och bodybuildingpass centrerade kring r\u00f6relser fr\u00e5n tyngdlyftning (b\u00e4nkpress, kn\u00e4b\u00f6j, marklyft...). De flesta av dessa \u00f6vningar var poly-muskul\u00e4ra och poly-joint. De viktigaste innovationerna i dessa maskiner var kedjorna och rotationsaxlarna som gjorde det m\u00f6jligt att inte vara beroende av ensam gravitation. Han b\u00f6rjade arbeta p\u00e5 flera tr\u00e4ningsmaskiner som totalt revolutionerade fitnessv\u00e4rlden. Som en sann entrepren\u00f6r ins\u00e5g han snabbt marknadspotentialen f\u00f6r sina maskiner och skapade snabbt ett f\u00f6retag som heter &quot;Nautilus&quot;. Han hade snabbt en riktig kommersiell framg\u00e5ng i Nordamerika och b\u00f6rjade s\u00e4lja sina maskiner \u00f6ver hela v\u00e4rlden. \u00c5r 1984 var \u00f6ver 4700 Nautilus Fitness Center aktiva i USA. Hans fitnessmaskiner anv\u00e4ndes n\u00e4stan \u00f6verallt fr\u00e5n professionella sporter (baseboll, basket, amerikansk fotboll...), universitet och gymnasier till kommersiella fitnessgym. Jones blev s\u00e5 framg\u00e5ngsrik att han fanns med p\u00e5 Forbes-listan \u00f6ver den tidens 400 rikaste personer. M\u00e5nga av hans Nautilus maskinkonstruktioner och utrustning \u00e4r i sj\u00e4lva verket de sanna f\u00f6rf\u00e4derna till den utrustning och de m\u00e4rken vi kan se \u00f6verallt nuf\u00f6rtiden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspirerad av sin far, Gary Jones (Arthurs son), grundade det ikoniska tr\u00e4ningsutrustningsm\u00e4rket Hammer Strength 1989. Det var totalt nonsens, n\u00e5got kan vara fel! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kanske var hela tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4ttet baserat p\u00e5 polyledr\u00f6relser och \u00f6vningar som \u00e4rvts fr\u00e5n tyngdlyftning d\u00e5ligt. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r ville han starta om fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan. Oavsett om det var kn\u00e4b\u00f6j, b\u00e4nkpress eller marklyft, var alla dessa r\u00f6relser k\u00e4rnan i alla kroppsbyggares tr\u00e4ning d\u00e5. Till den grad att skivst\u00e5ngsbaserade isolerings\u00f6vningar (biceps curls etc.) tr\u00e4nades fr\u00e4mst f\u00f6r att kunna \u00f6ka sin prestation p\u00e5 dessa tyngdlyftningsr\u00f6relser. Vilket var, enligt dem, det enda s\u00e4ttet de visste som utl\u00f6ste muskeltillv\u00e4xt.<br>Visst, genom denna metod, hade m\u00e5nga idrottare upplevt muskel\u00f6kningar snabbt och utan att ta steroider. Men kurvan f\u00f6r muskel\u00f6kningar stagnerade mycket snabbt efter dessa initiala vinster. Just det faktum att de engagerade flera muskler gjorde det bara m\u00f6jligt att m\u00e4tta musklerna under en mycket kort tid och med n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigtvis tyngre och tyngre vikter.
