If, like me, you are passionate about fitness and you want to be able to continue training in your hotel during your next stay in Monaco while being able to benefit from luxury spa services, here is my selection of my 3 preferred hotels which best combine fitness, spa, luxury and tourism.
Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo
In addition to an absolutely exceptional location in the heart of Monte Carlo and opposite the legendary Monte Carlo Casino, the Hotel de Paris Monte Carlo is by far my favorite hotel when it comes to combining Fitness, Spa and tourism. Its indoor pool is magnificent. Its outdoor pool with its Sky bar and solarium offers a breathtaking view of old Monaco and its port. Its Fitness Center is very spacious, very bright, well equipped with cardio equipment and Technogym weight training machines. It is in fact the Fitness Center of the Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo accessible to all guests of the Hotel de Paris and the Hotel Hermitage. Being able to train in the Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo where you can often meet celebrities is a real favorite. Training there is a real pleasure and its Spa services will delight fans of luxury Spas.
Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo
The very prestigious Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo is located right next to the Hotel de Paris. As mentioned above, guests of the Hotel de Paris and the Hotel Hermitage can go and work out at the Thermes Marins de Monaco which is very pleasant and well equipped. The difference between the two hotels is the swimming pool. The swimming pool at the Hotel Hermitage is a large indoor pool surrounded by a large bay window and which opens onto an outdoor terrace. The rest of the Spa services are just as luxurious as those at the Hotel de Paris.
Fairmont Monte Carlo
Let’s not lie to ourselves, the rest of the hotels in Monaco and the surrounding area are very disappointing in terms of Fitness offerings for enthusiasts or high-level athletes who want to be able to continue training even on vacation: few or no weight training machines, small Cardio area… However, some offer superb Spas, private beaches and even private tennis courts. In short, it’s quite disappointing. The Fairmont is therefore one of the rare hotels in Monaco that offers a minimally credible Fitness Center. The Fitness Center at the Fairmont Monaco has been renovated (and it really needed it), you will find a few Technogym weight training machines (mainly for training the legs) and Cardio machines that will allow you to run with a bird’s eye view of the famous Fairmont Hairpin of the F1 Grand Prix. For the rest, you will find very good Spa services and a beautiful rooftop swimming pool (with a bar and music). This hotel will also allow you, thanks to its location, to reach the Monte Carlo Casino in a few minutes, to go to the famous Buddha Bar after climbing just a few steps and to go jogging on Larvotto beach.
