Whether you are living in London or a fresh newcomer, here are my Top-3 favorite premium Fitness Gym in the area.
Third Space City
A sublime swimming pool, a well-equipped weight training area (Eleiko, Technogym, Watson dumbbells…), a top Pilates room, a pleasant place with a neat design, this room is clearly my favorite to train in London. Located between the City of London and Tower Bridge, the location is ideal for those who work or pass through the area. The clientele is great. I love this room and I feel good and safe there, not to mention that it is very practical for me. If you want to train in this room, you will have to count around 265 pounds per month.
Third Space Mayfair
Even though I find this Fitness Gym a little below the one located near the City of London, its main advantage is to be located in Mayfair. The Eleiko, Techngym equipment… is always there with a nice swimming pool (but less attractive than the one in City). I find that it offers a little less light and space than the one in City. However, being located right in the middle of Mayfair makes it an essential gym in London due to its location and its very select clientele. If you want to train in this gym, you will have to count on around 265 pounds per month.
E by Equinox St James’s
In the field of luxury Fitness Gyms, we no longer present Equinox, the reference brand in New York (see my article on my favorite Fitness Gyms in New York). Equinox offers 3 Fitness Gyms in London: Bishopsgate, Kensington and E St James. Although the other two clubs are quite up to par with what you would expect from a Premium Fitness Gym, I have a strong preference for E St James. I love training there, the monumental entrance and exposed stonework clearly have their effect every time. I admit that this Fitness Gym offers the cachet of a typical old building in the middle of the Saint James district and a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus. This Fitness Gym offers everything to train in good conditions and have a good time while rubbing shoulders with a select clientele. Nothing to say about the cardio area equipped with Technogym. Just a small downside on the white Cybex fitness equipment that does not go well with such a typical and chic decor. As in New York, I have the feeling that the Cybex equipment is a little below that of a Fitness Gym of this standing (no customization, standard white color, etc.).
